Etzel Cardeña holds the endowed Thorsen Chair in psychology at Lund University, Sweden, where he directs the Center for Research on Consciousness and Anomalous Psychology. His research covers extraordinary/anomalous experiences, dissociation, psi phenomena, and hypnosis. Born in Mexico, he holds a Ph.D. from UC Davis and has taught at prestigious institutions like Georgetown and UT Pan-American.
Cardeña has delivered keynote speeches across four continents and published over 300 scientific works, including in top psychology and psychiatry journals. His books include Varieties of Anomalous Experience, Altering Consciousness: A Multidisciplinary Perspective, and Parapsychology: A Handbook for the 21st Century.
